Sport Climbing British Columbia Hosts Double Header Weekend January 25-26th

Kamloops, BC – The Sport Climbing Association of British Columbia (SCBC) is pleased to announce its first double-header event of the season, January 25-26th at The Edge Climbing Centre in North Vancouver. 

The competition begins Saturday January 25th with the final local Bouldering competition of the season and continues on Sunday the 26th with the first Difficulty competition of the year.

Provincials in Bouldering will then take place at the Project Climbing Centre in Abbotsford on February 8th, 2013, while the Difficulty regular season will continue with competitions at The Boulders in Central Saanich on February 22nd, the Richmond Oval on March 15th and the Rock Wall in Maple Ridge on March 22nd. Difficulty (and Speed) Provincials take place at The Boulders in Central Saanich on April 5th.

The Bouldering competition at The Edge begins at 9:45 am Saturday the 25th with climbing in the Youth B category, while climbing in the Female Youth A, Junior and Open competition begins at 12:30 pm. The Male Youth A, Junior and Open competition begins at 2:30 pm, while the Youth C, D, Experienced and Recreational categories begin at 5:00 pm.

The Difficulty competition at The Edge begins at 9:15 am Sunday the 26th with climbing in the Open, Junior, Youth A, Youth B and Experienced divisions. Competition in the Youth C, Youth D and Recreational divisions begins at 11:00 am.
