The Boulders Climbing Gym Announces New Web Site and Call for Volunteers for 2013 Worlds

Central Saanich, BC – Board Chair Kimanda Jarzebiak is pleased to announce that The Boulders Climbing Gym in Central Saanich has launched their new website at and in conjunction has put out a general call for volunteers and sponsors to help run the 2013 IFSC World Youth Championships that will take place at the gym August 15-19, 2013.
Designed by Synaptic Systems of North Saanich, the redesigned web site features a clean, simplified look that makes it easy for users to rapidly find the information they are looking for regarding The Boulders’ climbing programs, the facility, Boulders staff and upcoming events.
The site also features links to the upcoming Canadian National Championships which will be held at the Gym from May 18-20, 2013 (athletes can register via the website at http://climbtheboulders.com/2013-open-and-youth-nationals-registration-form), as well as a link to information on the IFSC World Youth Championships that will take place August 15-19, 2013.
Volunteers Needed – IFSC World Youth Championships
With regard to the IFSC World Youth Championships, The Boulders has put out a general call for volunteers to help run the world-class event. Volunteers are needed for a range of activities including ticketing and admissions, traffic and parking, first aid, security, judging and belaying to name a few. Sponsorship Opportunities – IFSC World Youth Championships
The Boulders Climbing Gym would like to invite additional partners and supporters to participate in the event. Sponsorship opportunities are available at a range of monetary levels beginning at just $250 and extending up to becoming a formal naming partner for the event.
Equipment sponsors are also required and food, equipment and other related vendors are invited to showcase their products and wares in “The Marketplace”, a unique area adjacent to the climbing venue that will be a combination of a great farmer’s market, food fare, climbing retailers and others with products that appeal to those in attendance at the event. Print, web and television media partners are also required.

About The Boulders Climbing Gym
The Boulders Climbing Gym is a not-for-profit society, with the mandate of making climbing accessible for everyone, regardless of ability or ability to pay. With over 13,000 square feet (1,208 square metres) of climbing space, The Boulders Climbing Gym is a community facility and a unique social enterprise, providing adaptive recreation and rehabilitation programs, youth recreational and competitive programs, as well as facilitating a climbing academy at Stelly’s Secondary School.
